Due to the nature of my profession, I have been fortunate enough in 2013 to attend two major film festivals which have a significant number of world premieres – as well as an uncountable number of smaller niche film festivals. These festivals are important not only because they are avenues to showcase films that will become big talking points in 2014, but by nature of their discovery, they herald exciting new voices of cinema that offer a glimpse into the future. In many ways, I consider this list even more important than Part A’s list, simply because they are yardsticks by which to measure 2014’s output by.
Due to their premature nature as extremely new films – new even for industry film professionals – if and when you get a chance to see them, do – because they might not be released for a while or worse, disappear…
