Il film.
Lungo l’immensa spiaggia di Calais, da anni trasformata in un enorme campo profughi, si coltiva la speranza un giorno di poter arrivare in Inghilterra. Nel frattempo i profughi si organizzano come possono, portando avanti attività lecite e talvolta illecite. A volte si aggiungono ai problemi generali drammi privati, come quello di Nadim, un ragazzo afgano alla ricerca della propria personale libertà….
BachaCalais, refugee camp. Nadim, an afghan boy, is living in the camp with his family and
helping his father at the shop held in the center of the jungle. But Nadim has a secret :
he is a bacha posh (girl raised as a boy in Afghan culture). Nadim dreams to flee and
fight for her freedom.

La regista:
Katia Scarton-Kim is a director and actress. Graduated from the National Conservatory of Dramatic Art in Lausanne, Switzerland, she directed her first film “Kristal” in 2004. In 2007, she made a documentary “Saturday, more or less” selected at the Festival Circuito Off in Venice and then in different festivals in Italy and in the world. In 2009 she directed “Les Liqueurs d’Alice”, a fiction produced by Baïacedez Films Production. The film was selected at the Festival Court Devant and at “Les Escales Improbables” in Montreal. From 2009 to 2012, she worked closely with the cinema mission of the city of Paris, which supported 4 documentaries she co-edited on migrant women in France.
In 2015 she directed “the mind of Wolf » produced by Inred production and Bagan films and bought by France Télévision. The film made over 20 festivals all over the world.
In 2016, she co-directed “Sous la peau” a first feature film “Bacha Posh”, her latest film, was pre-purchased by ARTE and TSR (Schweizer Fernseh).
