Rules and regulations
1 – The Association Rive Gauche – Festival, Florence, Italy, is pleased to announce the October 2019 session of 6th Firenze FilmCorti Festival. The Festival aims at promoting the collaboration and competition of young directors and promotion and distribution of audio-visual works. The Festival also wants to encourage facilitate directors in their contacts with producers, distributors, actors who will be guests of the event.
The October session is dedicated to the following sections and schedule:
October 16th – h. 10:30 am to 06:00 pm: Cartoons and film for young audience
October 17th – h. 10:30 am to 06:00 pm: Screenplays
October 18th – h. 10:30 am to 06:00 pm Innovative & experimental film

2 – Requirements:
Film: All the submitted film should not be longer than 40 minutes, included film credits.
Animation and films for young people and schools: the maximum duration for every film is 20 minutes, including the final credits.
Movies are accepted in any language, but they must be subtitled in Italian or in English. Films admitted to the Offcial selection must be sent in a version with Italian subtitles.
Screenplays: it is possible to submit screenplays for both short films or feature films. Original screenplay for short films must be no longer than 30 pages, whereas screenplays for feature films must be longer than 30 pages. Screenplays must be in English or in Italian. Applicants have to send, along their works, a short abstract and their CV.
3 – Film submissions. The film can be sent

b – by one of the numerous platforms cooperating with Firenze FilmCorti Festival (Film Freeway,
Withoutabox, Movibeta, Click for Festival, Festhome, Reelport, Cinemabreve etc.).

4 – Submission fee:
Applicants should send a fee of Euro 20.00 together with their work.

In case the applicant chose to apply through one of the platforms previously mentioned, the entry fee might be stated on the site, and it will likely be in US $.
5 – All the material submitted will not be returned. It will be held in the archive of the Association which will be responsible for the preservation of the material, and the processing of the personal data of the applicants.
Trailers or other material (with the exclusion for the whole film) may be published or released for disclosure and advertising purposes on the Rive Gauche-Film and Critique blog (https://rivegauche-filmecritica.com ), on the Festival website (https://firenzefilmcortifestival.com ) and on the Association Newtwork, Twitter, Google+, Instagram and Linkedin pages.
Every filmmaker can write something about his work or send photos or trailer for the “Author corner” to Festival website:
6 – Official selection. The candidates selected by the Jury for the Official Selection for all the sections will be notified from September 15 to 25, through mail or on the Blog (http://rivegauche-filmecritica.com), or on the Festival website (https://firenzefilmcortifestival.com ), or on Rive Gauche-Festival Network. The travel costs for attending the four days of the Official Selection, as well as the accommodation and living expenses, will not be refunded.
7 – The authors and producers admitted to the Official Selection must mention in their works their attendance of the 6th Firenze FilmCorti Festival, the section they have applied for and the prizes won, as well as the official logo of the Festival, the participation awards, and the awards they were nominated for.
8 – The award for the winners of Anination and Innovative & experinental firms sections consists in a personalised plate, official certificate of attendance and winnings and two colours types laurel.
The award for best screenpla , and for second and third prizes , will be the InkTip Package (it means the screenplay will be sent to the film production companies) and a personalised plate). The best screenplay in Italian for a feature film will win the Elena Bertoldi special prize.
9 – The opinion of the Jury, made up by experts, will be unquestionable.
